Founded in 1893, Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) is a public, undergraduate college with a history born of vision and commitment to people. The college serves a highly diverse student population, providing educational opportunities to over 3000 students from more than thirty states and twenty countries. LCSC offers instruction in the liberal arts and sciences, professional areas tailored to the educational needs of Idaho, and applied technical programs which support the state and local economy. Undergraduate students at LCSC have been supported through the ISGC Scholarship Program. LCSC offers seven degrees that qualify under the Scholarship Program, and has had several scholars at the school, one of which was able to participate in the NASA Academy Internship Program. LCSC has also participated in the NASA Opportunities for Visionary Academics (NOVA) program in order to enhance a course required for pre-service teachers, and conducts public outreach through their observatory, including programs in collaboration with the Nez Perce Tribe.
