Founded in 1933, North Idaho College (NIC) is a comprehensive community college located on the spectacular shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene and the Spokane River. This public, higher education institution provides quality educational opportunities through offering associate degrees in more than 35 transferable academic majors and technical certificates or associate of applied science degrees in 26 professional-technical programs. NIC serves approximately 4400 students annually. Undergraduate students at NIC have been supported through the ISGC Scholarship Program. NIC offers ten degrees that qualify under the Scholarship Program, and has had several scholars at the school. NIC has also collaborated with the ISGC to offer special programs, such as an Exploration in Science summer camp, and to enhance current science courses such as the astronomy and AutoCAD courses offered at NIC.
